New capabilities of the mobile app

#1. View video from cameras in a layout

Opt for a more efficient way to view camera video: customizable layouts for easy multi-camera viewing on your mobile device

Camera layouts are now universally accessible in Aipix VAS Software Release 24.12! With our latest update, users can create personalized camera layouts and access them across all their devices from within the web-, desktop-, and mobile app. This unified experience makes it simple to switch between devices and boosts overall efficiency when using the video surveillance system.

This flexible approach empowers users to efficiently organize camera feeds, either by navigating to the Cameras tab and then to the newly introduced Layouts subtab, or by making on-the-fly adjustments directly from the video player while viewing a camera feed.

Layouts created in the mobile app can be accessed and used on both desktop and web platforms, with all settings automatically synchronized. This cross-platform feature streamlines video surveillance management, allowing users to switch between devices without losing any configuration, particularly when quick access to video is needed from different devices.

For detailed instructions, refer to the Layouts documentation article.

#2. Manage the camera player fast keys with the new Set player actions function

Customize the player panel: modify quick access to frequently used actions

The new Set player actions panel feature empowers users to personalize their player experience. By selecting up to 4 essential tools, they can streamline their workflow and reduce distractions. For example, if a camera setup is simple, swap out the unnecessary quality change button for a powerful layout creation tool. This customization option allows users to stay focused, save time, and enjoy a more immersive viewing experience.

The Archive manager – a new built-in video editor in the desktop app

Experience a new level of video archive management: edit and control your saved archive footage directly within the app

We’re excited to introduce our desktop app users to a new solution for video archive management – the Archive manager video editor. Streamline your video management with our new Archive manager. No more switching between applications! Our built-in video editor provides all the tools you need to trim, cut, and enhance your footage directly within the desktop app. Save time and boost your video surveillance efficiency with our intuitive interface.

To unlock advanced video management features for users, the video surveillance administrator should enable a new Archive manager access level in Aipix VAS Software Release 24.12.

To get started, users simply add the downloaded video clip from the camera archive to a project on the Archive manager tab. Once added, users can begin editing the video using the toolbar: manage the order of video clips, crop, trim, as well as save and export finished projects to their device.

For detailed instructions, refer to the Archive manager documentation article.

The web interface is now fully responsive

Video surveillance is now fully mobile: enjoy convenient system control on any device due to Aipix VAS Software Release 24.12

Introducing the enhanced web interface for our video surveillance application, now fully responsive. The interface adapts seamlessly to any device screen, ensuring an optimal user experience on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and widescreen monitors. No matter the screen size, you’ll benefit from a clear, intuitive, and functional design.

Mobility is at the heart of modern video surveillance. With the updated web client, you can promptly respond to events, monitor activities, and stay in control wherever you are. We highly recommend using it on tablets, as they provide the ideal combination of portability and functionality.

Enhanced efficiency of the Analytics algorithms

Work of Analytics cases: boosting accuracy in precise detection and identification

Our Smoke and fire detection analytics received a major upgrade in Aipix VAS Software Release 24.12. A new classification model now replaces the previous detector model, significantly boosting the accuracy and efficiency of smoke and fire detection within our video analytics system. This translates to enhanced security for protected areas.

The Counting people (objects) in an area case is significantly enhanced. Beyond its core functionality of simply counting individuals within a defined area, the system now offers advanced analytical capabilities. It can accurately determine the gender and age of each detected person, providing valuable demographic insights, as well as visualize the detected objects in the image from the camera.

We optimized the analytics system for processing Face recognition and License plate recognition analytics cases. We eliminated duplicate functionalities within the system by replacing custom trackers with higher-performance and modern solutions, streamlining the system and improving speed, reliability, and efficiency.

The enhanced Map section– a comprehensive tool to administer video surveillance cameras

Aipix VAS Software Release 24.12: a consolidated section for visual representation and efficient management of your video surveillance system on an interactive map

In our previous release, we enabled users to manage cameras on maps and plans within the desktop and web app. This Aipix VAS Software Release 24.12 empowers video surveillance administrators with an upgraded Map section, offering a consolidated set of tools for comprehensive camera management and administration on the interactive map.

Beyond providing an overview of cameras on a geographic map, administrators can now seamlessly add new cameras, remove unwanted ones, and modify their coordinates directly within the Map section. This streamlined approach to camera management on the map eliminates the previous requirement of accessing a separate menu to edit the geographical information for each camera independently. Admins can automate camera mapping by enabling the Setting up automatic adding of cameras to the map feature under Access Rights Settings. Next, cameras added to the platform for the first time via autoprovisioning and with specified geographic coordinates will automatically appear on the map.

The added Camera tree provides administrators with a convenient and quick way to access the list of cameras, significantly simplifying the process of searching for and integrating cameras into the map. With the color-coding system, each camera is displayed on the map in a color that corresponds to its current status, allowing administrators to easily spot cameras that require immediate attention.

Additionally, we’ve enhanced the interaction with cameras on the map. Now, selecting a camera icon opens a video preview window directly on the map, where administrators can not only view the current video but also manage the stream, change camera coordinates, or navigate to camera settings.

For detailed instructions, refer to the Map documentation article.
